Where Your Funds Go
Funds support the entire BookGive mission from door to door. We keep our expenses very low as a volunteer-run organization! But still, there are costs to keeping our garage doors open to fulfill everyone’s book needs. Your contribution keeps the station humming.
Plus, some of our community partners have specific book needs. Schools need books in Spanish. Retirement homes need large print. We cannot rely solely on book donations to acquire all the kinds of books our community needs. Every year, a portion of our budget is reserved to purchase books (at cost, of course) to serve these types of special needs.
From utility bills to salaries to rent to office supplies, it still costs less than $1 per book to process and distribute all the books we receive. THANK YOU to supporting our mission to remove all barriers to book access. You are making a big difference.
