Volunteer Positions

Book Attendants

• Work at the Service Station
• Receive book donations and give receipts
• Sort donated books into categories
• Fulfill book requests to be sent to schools and nonprofits
• Able to lift and move boxes of books, 20-40lbs

Station Managers

• Work at the Service Station
• Greet and help station visitors during open hours
• Trusted with keys for open/close responsibilities
• Know how to process financial contributions
• Help book attendants as needed

Volunteer Coordinators

• Work at the Service Station and in the community
• Connect with volunteer organizations
• Schedule volunteer groups
• Recruit volunteers for operations and special events
• Train volunteers
• Coordinate volunteers at special events

Delivery Runners

• Work at the Service Station and in the community
• Responsible for driving pick-ups and drop-offs
• Help keep Mavis operational and sparkly clean
• Maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Community Outreach

• Work in the community
• Connect with schools and nonprofit partners in need of books
• Assess our partners’ needs so we can best match books
• Communicate with partners and maintain a good relationship
• Follow up with partners to learn how books were utilized

Thank You Team

• Work at the Service Station or at home
• Hand write thank yous to donors and other supporters

Event Team

• Work at the Service Station and in the community
• Support the planning and execution of superb special events

Board/Advisory Council Members

• Serve at the Service Station and in the community
• Provide leadership and planning
• Meet regularly
• Assist with fundraising
• Represent BookGive in the community
• Advocate for the BookGive mission
