Heather Morton has more than 25 years of experience in legislative research and analysis working on state public policy issues. She earned her bachelor’s at the University of Colorado Boulder and her law degree at the University of Denver. Between school and work, Heather has spent a lot of time reading history and non-fiction and believes in reading fiction in her free time for balance. For her, reading can be for knowledge or brain candy! After reading an article about how fewer people are reading for pleasure and what that might mean for learning, relationships and well-being, she wanted to volunteer with BookGive to help make books more available to more people.
